.Tame brows: Brush on a thin layer to set hairs in place.
.Prime Eyelids: A thin layer applied before eyeshadow helps makeup stay put all day.
.Keep Cuticles Soft: Dab on fingertips before going to bed.
.Smooth Hair: Apply to pesky fly aways or rub into tips to add shine and hide split ends .
.Soothe Skin:Slather it on to protect against cold air and wind.
1.Don’t skip primer.
Whether you want to blur wrinkles, mattify, minimise the appearance of pores or even out skin tone, primers do this whilst creating a velvety base for make-up and helping it to stay put for longer.
2.Mix your face oil with your foundation.
Try adding a couple of drops of your favourite facial oil to your foundation. It will give you light and dewy coverage. It will also stop your foundation from looking cakey.
3.Apply foundation from the center of your face.
Generally speaking, the most coverage is often needed in the centre of your face. Apply your foundation here first, and blend it out towards your jaw and hairline. This will stop your foundation looking like a mask or draw attention to the baby hairs around your head.
4.Use your finger to press the foundation into your skin.
If you’ve used a brush to apply your foundation, it can often feel like the foundation is just sitting on top of your skin. To make it last all day, use your fingertips afterwards to really press the foundation into your skin and buff out any product build-up.
5.Setting spray to finish.
For a really natural finish, use a setting spray after applying your foundation to bring your skin back to life. If you’re going for a sheer cover, use a rose or charged water – or if you’re after a more HD finish, try a setting spray to keep it in place all day.
1. Aloe vera gel
Aloe vera is Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, it’s know to soothe skin and encourage cell repair, while its anti-inflammatory properties help decrease puffiness.
2. Chilled tea bags
Save the tea bags (black, green or white) from your morning brew and chill them quickly in the fringe. Wear them as eye masks for five minutes and the antioxidants and caffeine content will help tighten and tone the surrounding skin, increasing circulation and therefore drainage.
3. Raw potato slices
You’ve all heard of the cucumber trick, but slices of potatoes can have ever better results thanks to catecholase, an enzyme they contain which is said to speed up the de-puffing process. Just lie back and place some fridge-cold and raw sliced over your closed eyes for up to 10 minutes. Wash off any residue afterwards with cold water.
4. Cold spoons
This trick works a treat. If time allows, pop two metal spoons in the freezer for a few minutes to chill, if not hold them under very cold running water instead. Then lie back with the cup of the spoons over your closed eyes for a minute and the cold constricts blood vessels, thereby reducing swelling.
5. Chilled eye cream
If you regularly suffer from puffy eyes keep your eye cream in the fridge – when applied the active ingredients will work even harder.
1.Create your own custom eyeliner: Wet your eyeliner brush and dip it in any eyeshadow of your choice. The wet brush will darken the pigments a bit and create a sharp look like a liner.
2.Fix smudges with skin like eyeliner: If you’ve smudged your liner a bit too much, draw over it with a skin-coloured liner instead of wiping it off and starting over. This is also a great trick if you want to make the line super-sharp.
3.Perfect flick: Use the edge of bussiness card to create a perfect flick.Try tracing the line with your eyeliner.
4.Use clear tape as a no-fail cat-eye guide:Place the edge of the tape in line with your bottom lash line and angle the top toward the end of your eyebrow.
5.Use the edges and curves of a spoon to master the perfect cat-eye shape:Use the handle of the spoon to draw the angled line and the curve of the spoon to create the shape. Then fill it in to finish the flick.
1.You’re using beautyblender dry: The best way to use the Beautyblender is when it is activated and damp and completely wet.The beautyblender is supposed to be used wet. The damp surface gives you streak-free blending and a dewy finish.
2.You Tried to microwave the germs away: The worst possible thing you can do is put it in the microwave.I don’t think it kills bacteria, it just melts everything.
3.You keep it too long: Even though you clean your sponge every day.The Beauty Blender needs to be replaced every three months. The older it gets, the more likely it will rip or tear.
4.You’re scrubbing it too hard: Our beauty blender can tear if you have super sharp nails or if you’re pulling the ends too hard when you clean the sponge. Instead, use a gentle squeezing motion. While the sponge is soaking wet, pour the cleaner directly on any soiled spots.
5.You keep it in ziplock bag: When you remove oxygen and light from anything that is moist, you have the opportunity for mold and bacteria to start forming. So a damp beauty blender stuffed in your dark, enclosed makeup bag is a bad idea. Instead, use a breathable mesh or organza bag to transport the sponge when you travel.
